Scott and Tina :: Engaged!!

Beth asked me to help her shoot Scott and Tinas engagement session, but don't say ANYTHING, because she just thinks they are photos for the parents. Scott, the brilliant romantic that he is, informed us that he intended to propose to Tina under the guise of a casual photo session. Um...YES! The whole experience was just so sweet and touching, i'm pretty sure I was on the verge of tears the entire time! Congratulations Scott and Tina, I can't wait for your wedding day! Kevin and Katy :: Maternity!

These two, well, now three, are not new to the blog. Their faces will be familiar. Their love has not changed, except that it's about to expand. Katy and Kevin are special to me because they invited me into their story and keep trusting me to capture their big moments. I am a blessed lady to have such wonderful clients!! Here they are a couple years ago. Aren't they cute?! Photobucket Here they are last year. Photobucket Oh, I love it!! Here they are two weeks ago. :) Photobucket It's a funny story, at least, it makes me chuckle. I was shooting Kevin and Nicoles wedding this past June, (Nicole is Kevins sister (Katy's Kevin, not Nicoles. Too many Kevins!!)) and my second shooter, Jake, said that something was "wrong" with Katy. What? I'm not sure Jake. (I was in the wedding photographer zone and was completely oblivious) His suspicion was that Katy was pregnant. I remember not even having the brain capacity to give it thought as I went to the dance floor to take more photos. Well, Jake, you were quite right, Katy was indeed pregnant and not quite enjoying her sister-in-laws wedding to the fullest as she was nurturing little Ryder. It's six months later and she's happy as a clam but, understandably, ready to meet her sweet little boy. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Do these trees look familiar? A little barer perhaps, but the same place Katy and Kevin had their wedding, Katys grandparents house. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This is Tuffy, Katys first little boy. :) He cooperated quite nicely in his big brother duties, as long as he could see Katy. He's quite protective and I get the feeling he's only just starting to accept Kevin. Hahaha Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Congratulations!! I can't wait for that phone call and to meet sweet little Ryder.

Wimmer :: Family

It's a bit unreal. What? How fast time is going? That it's almost Christmas?? How long it's been since I've posted??? Yes, yes, all those things, but i'm thinking specifically about this girl named, Amy. See, Amy and I go way back. I'm talking, going to summer camp together at 14, way back. I'm not quite sure what happened and I don't remember all of life's stops along the way, but I do remember when she told me she met a guy, and he's kinda cute and I kinda like him, then she said, "We're dating" then, "I love him and he proposed!!" I even had the honor of standing up with Amy in her wedding. I'm not quite sure when growing up happened. One day we were in my house talking about babies, and for her and Alex, having one was a ways off. "He is right in the thick of law school and I want to stay home when I have a baby. No, not quite yet." Little did we know she was pregnant right then and there!! Then comes the pregnancy test and the baby shower. Ahh! Where is the time going?? Then, one precious day in the fall, little Scarlet Gray was born. I couldn't wait to meet her. She was so tiny, sweet and with long fingers that told me she will be as tall as her mama. Well, that was a year ago and now Scarlet is one. I took the Wimmer family out for a shoot one Sunday morning and here are the sweet results.
P.S. Photos to come of Scarlet's birthday party!

McGinley :: Family

Please meet the McGinleys. They are loving, genuine, kind-hearted and as it happens, each one more wackier they the other! They have been dear friends to me and my family for...i'm not quite sure how many years. I was pondering all the memories that we've shared, camping, bonfires, laughing, games, filming awesome, yet ridiculous, videos, laughing, meals, extreme spoons and yes, more ridiculous-i-can't-breathe-i'm-laughing-so-hard-laughing! Uncle Marty and Auntie Katie, I can't tell you how much I cherish your friendship and how blessed I am having your support and prayers through the years. My cousins! Meghan, Kelsey, Rachel and Jenna, you are all so beautiful I can't even stand it! I love laughing with you and being ridiculous with you. You are treasures. Photobucket See the one on the end? That's Will. He's a beloved add on. He and Meghan married this past September. I believe he's adjusted quite well to so many sisters-in-law. They can get kind of silly, but he deals quite well. :) Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Oh, how wonderful it is. Photobucket Meghan. Photobucket Kelsey. Photobucket Rachel. Photobucket Jenna. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket I couldn't get over how FANTASTIC the lighting was that evening! Photobucket Photobucket I'll leave you with this photo of them showing their true colors. Photobucket
