Scott and Jenni :: Married!!

On occasion, I get to shoot a wedding with my best friend Beth, but as it happened, I got to shoot TWO with her this month!! Mike and Jill from my last post, and Scott and Jenni. Scott is actually a cousin of Beth, so for part of the wedding she just chilled and enjoyed the wedding and I finished up.
Scott and Jenni planned a beautiful wedding. The church where they married was just a couple blocks from her parents house and was huge and beautiful on the inside. The ceremony was at the old Chenney mansion in Oak Park, IL.

Here is day in a nutshell (and some of my favorites!)

This was the cutest thing to me. This little girl was tiniest thing and was wearing a tee shirt so big, she had two freezer clips holding it on!

Mike and Jill :: Married!

What a fantastic day!! Among shooting a stunningly beautiful wedding, I got to do it with my best friend Beth, I got to spend time with my dear cousins, and I got to shoot this wedding at this sweet vineyard and winery! Mike and Jill were so sweet and i'm pretty sure that Jill never had anything but a smile on her face. The day provided brilliant blue skies and the backdrop was lush green wine vines. Here are a few of my favorites.

McKenzie

I don't get too do it to often, but when I have the opportunity to shoot kids I love it. Especially toddlers! McKenzie was darling, busy and had a genuine sweetness about her little presence. While walking around and shooting she would offer me little berries, acorns or flowers that she had found, very willing to share in her good fortune of the new found treasures. We had fun and here are a few favorites of the day.

Eric and Rebecca :: Married!!

Maybe because it's on home video and I watch it every now and again, the earliest memory I have of my cousin and me, is sitting on the couch with her , 4 and 5 years old, watching older aunts, uncles, cousins, dad and grandma play pictionary. Eventually, our quiet whispers back and forth turned to loud giggling and shrieking then back to whispers when we were given a look. Now that I think of it, I don't have one single memory with that cousin of mine that doesn't include laughing hysterically. When we were growing up, we would only see each other once a year. We would alternate staying at each others houses for a week. She lived in Iowa and I in Illinois. I remember feeling a little shy in the first few hours or our reuniting, but that would quickly wear away. I could tell hundreds of silly to hilarious moments between the two of us, but I think you just had to be there. :)

I'm not sure about the timing of the thing, but I believe it was fall, Rebecca came for a visit and told me of this guy she had met only a week ago and his name was Eric. Becca lives in Seattle and had sold her truck to buy a scooter to get around. I hope I don't get the story backwards, but my memory is going in my old age. Thanks, mom. Becca needed lessons on how to operate and drive her scooter and just happened to meet Eric who was very good on a motorcycle, so he volunteered to give her lessons. She had a different sound to her voice when she told me of Eric, although I noticed it I didn't give it too much merit because she did just meet the guy about a week ago. BUT tale as old as time, the rest took care of itself, she kept me posted along the way and they started dating, more dating, boyfriend and girlfriend, then another trip out in the spring to meet the cousin, oh and parents. :) When they came out, I fell in love with Eric, he was so darling and has such tender eyes for my dear cousin. When she told me that her parents loved him I was extatic and expected a proposal very soon, and so did she. Much to both our surprise, Eric didn't propose right away. Altho, we later found out that he was dying to, but couldn't until her CUSTOMIZED CELTIC RING arrived to him.

Becca had asked me to photograph her wedding and also participate in the bridal party. I was so excited about both, but not taking a second shooter with me to Seattle, I didn't see how I could make both roles a reality. So much to my dismay I declined the bridesmaid position. Anyhow, enough with the jabber!

Here is Eric and Beccas wedding day. Also, If you scroll a couple posts down you'll find the pre-wedding photos.

Getting ready photos! I love taking these, just the girls doing what girls love to do, dressing up and doing make up!

Eric and Becca opted for a 'first look,' something that I love. It was a little tricky with just me, but I think it turned out just fine! Here is how it went down!

The ceremony and reception were both held on a boat in the harbor, simple but stunning was how I could describe it.
