Roger Benson::Life

I first met Roger and Linda at La Petite Creperie, my home away from home. :) They are regulars at the restaurant and I'm pretty sure, the sweetest people you would ever want to meet! Roger and Linda also love to talk, especially Roger. They love to talk about their daughter ( who is one of the cutest things I've ever seen) and how they are crazy about Cajun dancing, but they also love asking about us (staff at la creperie.) I'm always impressed at how they remember everything I've told them and constantly ask about the thing next time they are in. I'm not impressed because they have been forgetful in the past but because of my own lack of memory, heaven help me, I'm not that old.  I can hardly remember the people of the tables I'm serving at that moment, much less retain any information for any length of time. They are consistently my favorite table to wait on! 

All that to say, Linda came up to me a few months ago and asked if I would photograph the surprise party she was throwing for Rogers birthday. I, of course, was really excited to do it! Strictly documentary work is not exactly my forte but I was excited for the chance, and didn't think it went too badly! 

Enter L'Eiffel Bistrot. (Our sister restaurant)

Roger was so surprised! I was so happy because Linda worked so hard and making this night special for him.



There was singing and story telling. Jonathan wrote a song for Roger, so funny, and had printed out the lyrics for everyone so sing along. Holly, who has a beautiful operetic voice, changed the words to La Vie En Rose to fit the occasion.

Mom put this present on the floor and said it was a family present, so I wanted my three younger siblings to open it at the same time. Here is how it went down.

Yes, I got to shoot these two cuties! Franky and Sophia are my boss's children and way to adorible for words.



They were kind shy at the start, but warmed up as we went on.
