Nate and Tanya :: Married!

I feel so blessed. What a wonderful summer/year I've had. I've had the opportunity to travel to Germany and Italy. I've made many new friends. I've worked with wonderful families, brides, grooms, kids and seniors. I've even been able to add product photography to my portfolio. :) I have the memories of my trip in my mind, all the yummy food that I ate, new friends that I've made and new things I've experienced. I even have made some life decisions that will take myself and the business to some warmer climates. :) How on earth could I communicate so much goodness all in one post?? I'll come back to the present and leave you with a sweet glowing bride from yesterday. photo NateTanya-1_zps646789d2.jpg

Alice Scott

Oh. My. Goodness. It's been quite a while since i've even thought about the blog much less written or posted photos. However, I am still alive and well, and I hope everyone is the same. :) So well that I am headed to Europe in one week. EUROPE BABY!!! Germany and Italy, here I come! I can't wait to get there and snap away! Watch for photos to come. (on the Facebook page also).

To the point of this particular post. I would like to offer a congratulations to Alice Scott for celebrating her 90 birthday (which is actually tomorrow, she told me). I had the honor of documenting this joyous occasion this past Saturday. It was an afternoon full of family, hugs and laughter. With about 40 family members in attendance (and that wasn't nearly everyone) we had a full house. It was such a pleasure to see family having a good time together and celebrating their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother! Alice is a sweet woman who clearly adores her family. She had a smile, a soft word and a warm hug for everyone. Most of my photos of her captured her look of contentment as she watched everyone interact together. Alice, dear, I hope I will leave a beautiful legacy, such as you have done. photo Alice90-1_zpsb65e2040.jpg

Ryder :: Newbie

I have to admit, I was a nervous to do a session with little Ryder. I had never done a newborn before and I was slightly scared that he would not like me and decide to cry the whole time! However, that was not the case, he slept through the session and photographed like a pro. I was so in love with him when I was finished I held back from sneaking him home with me in my photo bag! I held back from posting every darling photo, so here are just a few. Enjoy his sweet little face. I am trilled for you as you start out this new journey as parents! I can't wait for the next session!

Scott and Tina :: Engaged!!

Beth asked me to help her shoot Scott and Tinas engagement session, but don't say ANYTHING, because she just thinks they are photos for the parents. Scott, the brilliant romantic that he is, informed us that he intended to propose to Tina under the guise of a casual photo session. Um...YES! The whole experience was just so sweet and touching, i'm pretty sure I was on the verge of tears the entire time! Congratulations Scott and Tina, I can't wait for your wedding day! Kevin and Katy :: Maternity!

These two, well, now three, are not new to the blog. Their faces will be familiar. Their love has not changed, except that it's about to expand. Katy and Kevin are special to me because they invited me into their story and keep trusting me to capture their big moments. I am a blessed lady to have such wonderful clients!! Here they are a couple years ago. Aren't they cute?! Photobucket Here they are last year. Photobucket Oh, I love it!! Here they are two weeks ago. :) Photobucket It's a funny story, at least, it makes me chuckle. I was shooting Kevin and Nicoles wedding this past June, (Nicole is Kevins sister (Katy's Kevin, not Nicoles. Too many Kevins!!)) and my second shooter, Jake, said that something was "wrong" with Katy. What? I'm not sure Jake. (I was in the wedding photographer zone and was completely oblivious) His suspicion was that Katy was pregnant. I remember not even having the brain capacity to give it thought as I went to the dance floor to take more photos. Well, Jake, you were quite right, Katy was indeed pregnant and not quite enjoying her sister-in-laws wedding to the fullest as she was nurturing little Ryder. It's six months later and she's happy as a clam but, understandably, ready to meet her sweet little boy. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Do these trees look familiar? A little barer perhaps, but the same place Katy and Kevin had their wedding, Katys grandparents house. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This is Tuffy, Katys first little boy. :) He cooperated quite nicely in his big brother duties, as long as he could see Katy. He's quite protective and I get the feeling he's only just starting to accept Kevin. Hahaha Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Congratulations!! I can't wait for that phone call and to meet sweet little Ryder.
