Hugh and Sherry

Last Tuesday was Sherrys birthday and one of her many surprises was a photo shoot!!! Yay!! I don't know why I hadn't thought to get her and her hubby in front of my camera sooner. I love love love taking pictures, but sometimes when it comes to thinking of taking pictures... :)

There is so much in my heart when I think of Hugh and Sherry. They have been a big emotional and mental support for me. They have loved me through my pretty times and my ugly times. They have encouraged me and pushed me to reach the sky. I have thousands of happy memories, and have had lots talks laughs and tears with this family (many of those over folding the socks, right sher! ;) I'm excited to share with you this very special piece of my heart.

Hugh, thank you for being a listening ear when I needed you. You mean the world to me. I love you.

Sherry, my dear sister, your are so beautiful, inside and out. Thank you for hearing my heart and seeing me for me and loving me anyway. :) You are precious to me, and I'm excited to share with you in your year of jubilee!!

P.S. I want to go out in the spring with all the pretty flowers and do another shoot, I didn't get nearly all the photos I wanted!

Bekah and Peter

I just absolutely could not wait until these two were engaged to get them in front of my camera!!! haha! I think they had been dating for...mmm, two or three days when I told them we were going out on a shoot.

Bekah has been such an important person in my life. She has loved me, laughed with me, seen me be beautiful and ugly and has loved me through it all. I couldn't have asked God for a better friend. (Did I mention that she is stinking gorgeous??) Bekah, I have always looked up to you and love you as a sister. I'm inspired at how you have lived what you have talked and have loved getting to know you better and better. I love you so much, desert grace. (your desert is looking pretty green at the moment though!!)

I met Peter a few years ago at EHOP (Elgin House of Prayer) but didn't know him that well, he was kind of quiet and I was kind of quiet, which I have found does not make for a quick friendship. haha. BUT, I saw him off and on through the next few years, then got to know him better when I stayed in Kentucky for a few weeks. I have never know a man of such character. I so respect how he treats the relationships in his life, especially Bekah. Peter, I look forward to spending more time with you as the years go by, and getting to know your heart. You found such a gem in Bekah, she is a rarity among women.

SO! You put these two amazing people together, a beautiful fall day and my camera together and you have the makings of a great shoot!! We had so much fun together, I could hardly pick out my favorites! My slideshows are giving me a hard time, so here are a few to hold you over!!

Fun in the Sun!

Every labor day weeknd my home church goes up to Green Lake, WI for a few days. We always have a blast. Lots of lates nights, fires, roasting marshmellows, laughing and lots and lots of food, haha. We also have a tradition on the last night that we are there (Sunday night). People work together and put on skits or videos, we call it no-talent night. haha! We all have a great time and it is definatly one of the highlights of my year. But before I leave tomorrow...I wanted to get these photos up, of another fun time!

I shot this while down in Kentucky visiting my girls! A friend from church, her three kids and her brother also came down. We went to a place in the downtown area of Henderson called, The Fountains. Lots of laughs and water!
