Adventurer and a romantic, animated and smiling, artist and a gypsy, witty and uprorious, loving and tender, theatrical and entertaining are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Barbara. Barbara is one of the few people who can make me laugh at anything and everything. (Without wine!)
I had the lovely privilege of doing some head shots for Ms. Barbara plus a little more. :)
Barbara, I felt sad to be confined to the house. Come spring i'm dragging your beautiful self out in the fresh air and light for more photos!

Cheyne and Sarah :: The Proposal
I think it was Sunday after church, Cheyne came up to me, and after a big bear hug, told me he was proposing to Sarah. I felt my eyes growing as big as his were as he told me his plans. He was planning on asking her in the movie theater, and i'm not talking about any old movie theater. The name of this theater is Gold Class Cinemas and it was probably the most beautiful theater i've seen. You're able to order a full gourmet dinner, wine or champagne as you're watching a film. That is definitely my kind of movie! Although, the chairs looked so comfy I probably would have done more napping then anything else! Back to the planning...Cheyne not only wanted this moment photographed but wanted to share it with family and close friends. BUT, letting this many people in on a big secret, you have to be careful, so he sent everyone one of these.
When the film was over, the management, who was fabulous, projected a poem that Cheyne had written for Sarah then another will-you-marry-me slide. Cheyne was slightly nervous about having people in the theater and maybe giving away the surprise. Which now I can see what he meant, the theater would have only held 30ish people. So, everyone waited outside the doors and waited for her to come out.
The waiting...
Finally the doors open and everyone fell silent. Many were holding their breath, at least I was! She came slowly out, happy but emotional, on her way to the restroom for a tissue. I felt bad to do it...but I had to use my flash, not her last surprise of the day. hahaha!
There were many hugs and tears and laughter.
Sarah made her way back to Cheyne for a hug. I love his face. Total love, contentment and probably a little, thank-God-I-pulled-this-off!!

Lisa :: Just Because!
I consider myself blessed to have family live so close to me. Although, not all live as close as I would like (many overseas), I appreciate and love spending time with those who do. My Aunt Lisa and I went out for a little session and had a blast! She is more then a natural in front of the camera and I couldn't have asked for a better smile! I had fun with you Lisa!! Thanks for coming out with me! Also, we'll get in a movie night at my house with Jay and Dad soon. :)

Scott and Jenni :: Married!!
On occasion, I get to shoot a wedding with my best friend Beth, but as it happened, I got to shoot TWO with her this month!! Mike and Jill from my last post, and Scott and Jenni. Scott is actually a cousin of Beth, so for part of the wedding she just chilled and enjoyed the wedding and I finished up.
Scott and Jenni planned a beautiful wedding. The church where they married was just a couple blocks from her parents house and was huge and beautiful on the inside. The ceremony was at the old Chenney mansion in Oak Park, IL.
Here is day in a nutshell (and some of my favorites!)
This was the cutest thing to me. This little girl was tiniest thing and was wearing a tee shirt so big, she had two freezer clips holding it on!
Lighting was beauuuuuutiful!
Flowers!
The first dance was out on the patio...at sunset
My favorite of the day.
